The Vegas Grand Hogmanay Ball is a New Year institution, and there’s no more glamorous place to hold the swingin’-est end of year soirée than at the fabulous Voodoo Rooms. Say farewell to 2023 and welcome in 2024 with a scintillating night of vivaciousness & va-va-voom; blackjack & burlesque; glitz & glamour; roulette & romance; moonlight & martinis; hedonism & hi-jinks; champagne & cabaret. Add a twist of sophistication, a hint of Marilyn magic, a shot of JFK’s Camelot-era cool and a sprinkling of Rat Pack razzmatazz.

Vegas has assembled a killer line-up of live music, DJs, MCs, burlesque artists, crooners and cabaret performers, and of course, the most important ingredient –  yourselves – and you have the intoxicating cocktail of cool that is The Vegas Hogmanay Ball!

We’re taking over every nook and cranny of the labyrinthine palace of entertainment that is the Voodoo Rooms: The Ballroom, Speakeasy, American Bar, Carte Blanche!, and the spectacular Main Bar and Restaurant providing ideal environments and intimate hideaways for dancing and romancing, carousing and celebrating, dining and imbibing in style as we say farewell to 2023 in the most glamorous and opulent venue in town.

We’re delighted to welcome back to Edinburgh, by popular acclaim, fresh from their 2023 Fringe sell-out run, Blues and Burlesque, who will take over the Speakeasy for the evening, with two shows, at 10.30pm and 1.00am, with a special guest slot upstairs in between. Blues and Burlesque answer the eternal conundrum – what happens when a libertine jazz reprobate meets a supernova of modern striptease? To paraphrase Jack Kerouac, watch them burn like fabulous Roman candles, before they explode across the stars. With original music by Pete Saunders (Dexy’s Midnight Runners) and the showgirl striptease of Belle de Beauvoir (‘The Sparkling Diamond of Burlesque’ (BBC Radio)), this stellar duo, with a sprinkling of special guest appearances, will light up the Vegas sky.

JUST ADDED! It’s our great pleasure to add to this constellation of stars our old friends, the UK’s No.1 jive & swing band The Jive Aces, who will explode onto the Vegas stage in their trademark yellow suits, with two sets in the ballroom from 10.00pm until 11.30pm. The star-packed Vegas Grand Hogmanay Ball will surely shine brighter than Cassiopeia!

Making his Vegas debut is crooner extraordinaire Georg Tormann, who will recreate the sounds of the Vegas Rat Pack for New Year at the Voodoo Rooms. Renowned BRIT school vocal coach and star judge on the BBC 1 show ‘All Together Now’, George Tormannn was born to sing swing!

But of course, The Jive Aces, Blues and Burlesque and Georg Tormann aren’t the only stellar talents in this Night of a Thousand Stars. We’re delighted to welcome, all the way from New Zealand, the wonderful… the fabulous… the sensational… Fanciforia Foxglove. With looks to rival Jayne Mansfield and comic timing to match Lucille Ball, Fanciforia combines period-perfect style and slapstick comedy, evoking the glamour of old-Hollywood.

Gasp and delight at Edinburgh’s own tantalising temptress, Dr Gypsy Charms, and wonder at the terpsichorean talents of the greatest constellation of burlesque artists ever assembled under one roof, as dynamite dame Daiquiri Dusk joins Belle de Beauvoir and Fanciforia Foxglove in showcasing the Best of Burlesque.

There will be dancing into the wee sma’ hours to the exotic rhythms, intoxicating melodies and irresistible dance-floor grooves of Vegas musical maestros Frankie Sumatra, Bugsy Seagull and Sam Jose. Hipster swing, hepcat jive, gangster grooves, beguiling bossa nova, luscious lounge, sanctified soul, rockin’ R&B, blues, boogaloo, dancefloor jazz, cult classics & mob hits are just a few of the choice cuts on the musical menu for your dancing pleasure.

And just in case there wasn’t enough glitz, glamour, razzmatazz and va-va-voom already, Nikki Nevada & the Vegas Showgirls will turn the Fabulousness Factor all the way up to eleven and shake their tail-feathers most delightfully. These sultry sirens combine the sophistication of the salons of Paris with the sassiness of the Vegas strip.

And of course we can’t forget the hustlers, card sharks and wild cards at the Stardust Casino Lounge, presided over by the Fabulous Scott Sisters and located in the American Bar – the only casino where you can gamble the night away at the roulette and blackjack tables without fear of losing your shirt, courtesy of our complimentary Elvis dollars.

Chill out and enjoy a cocktail to the accompaniment of our piano player tinkling the ivories in the Carte Blanche Piano Lounge, an oasis of sophistication and relaxation tucked away in the hinterland of Sin City. This is where all the coolest cats and kitties will congregate – the ‘In Crowd’ amongst the ‘Sin Crowd’.

A soiree of such sartorial splendour would be incomplete without the Vegas Best Dressed Competition, so dress to impress!
