As a solo artist and with his band, The Daintees, he has produced over 40 albums and played thousands of concerts.

Stephenson’s live performances are an exuberant tour-de-force, combining heart-in-your-mouth intimacy with playful humour and warm self-deprecation. He is a unique, engaging, spontaneous and talented performer. He has recently been championed by and appeared with Tom Robinson (BBC Radio 6 Music ) Roddy Hart ( The Quay Sessions and BBC Radio Scotland) and Billy Connolly (Made in Scotland BBC documentary).

Martin has performed all over the world but retains strong links to Scotland where he has lived for many years. During lockdown, a close-knit online family community blossomed in response to his heartfelt, spontaneous, informal and supportive gigs from his home in Ross-shire. Friendships were forged that continue to this day.

He is delighted to be returning to the Voodoo Rooms and Edinburgh by popular demand.
